While I was checking purpleDIARY today, I came across this Sophomore video and began to wonder... Sophomore, Sophomore why doesn't it ring a bell? So I checked their website and I really really like their style. It is a basics brand for cool cats, who worship the greatness of t-shirts and an easy way of wearing clothes. The founder, Chrissi Miller recently teamed up with Madeleine von Froomer, who was designing for Proenza Schouler. It sounds and looks all very promising! While clicking through their images it felt a little like Vice, Terry Richardson or the movie Kids, Gummo and Chloe S. Josephine de la Baume is represented in their look book as well and looks beautiful! I still haven't figured out what they have to do with Purple, but I guess I have to wait for their next issue to come out. Anyhow, Sophomore you rock!

In these days we are looking at cloudy skies, which are not always dark and grey. Christopher Kane shows the contrary with his Cloud Shirt. If you are troubled by rain and bad weather, brighten up your day with the visual art book by Caroline Bachmann and Stefan Banz. Living at the lake of Geneva, over the past years they have been taking daily images of the lake. Shot from one of their windows at different hours, from early morning to late evening. The work of art is called "What Duchamp Abandoned for the Waterfall". Duchamp lived here once and admired the lake, which "wears a new dress" every hour. His gaze was drawn to the waterfall next to his hotel, he turned his back to the view of the lake and faced the slope for his pieces Etant donnés: 1#la chute d´eau 2#le gaz d´éclairage...(1946-1966).

For the look-book shooting of her Spring/Summer 10 collection, Lauren Moffatt got together with ELLE's style director and fashion icon Kate Lanphear. What a combination...every time I see Kate she is dressed in black with studs, heavy jewelry and looks like a perfect rock inspired Queen of the Darkness. Moffatt on the other hand is lovely, carries a lot of pastels and represents a modern interpretation of vintage clothing. Ying meets Yang. The result makes me wanna show absolute zero consideration for my credit card limit.....That shows just how well I'm already doing with my new years resolutions and promises. Ooops.

I really enjoyed myself a lot, while looking at the beauty trend alert on Style.com. It might sound crazy to you, but I'm in a constant fight with my eyebrows. There are naturally, nicely shaped and all but I have a stupid curl in them. In my teens I plugged and cut them and no matter what everybody else said, it was never not painful! So I stopped. I was also in fear of not having eyebrows when I'm old. Style.com is now presenting the decades of eyebrows in fashion, check it out and start growing, bleaching, plugging or shaving them off! It's not easy to find love, especially in the streets of Berlin. Actually it's pretty hard to find the other part of yourself, anywhere. The "other" key player, the one who brings life to your heart and mind. This special person, who takes the challenge to grows with you - in harmony as well as in good and bad times. Some will find it, some look for it, some will always look for it and some don't even know that there is love existing somewhere. Currently I am researching a lot. Wow that sounds very mechanic....I'm researching a lot on men. Once I thought that men are all assholes. But this thought just doesn't make sense if you wanna have children with someone and if you do not want children with a so called asshole. Currently my research makes me really happy. I met so many human kinds of men. It's incredible. It mostly happens when you don't expect it at all...I promise, for sure I will make it. In 4 years, I will have a human being children, that speaks german, spanish, english, french and italian - the one that laughs from sunset to sunrise. I will call her Talulah with a men or without one...but these are just my thoughts at this very moment as I'm a true believer in the word called LOVE.

After almost a week in London and meetings with Lula, Twin, Susie from Style bubble and Love mag I arrived a bit tired in Berlin. Most of my time I was with my twin sister Bella and the rest of my family, everybody please forgive me for lack of attention, but I miss her so so much everyday! I also spent one night with the lovely, crazy Madame S. We went to an opening of a gallery on Torstrasse and met lots of familiar faces. I can't find the picture anymore we did together with Jan M. from Uslu Airlines, who I secretly envied for his finger nails. All of them were a different color and they looked so chic and yes on a guy's hand! I met with my friend Karin O. for lunch and it felt so good to see her again. Karin, I'm sending kisses your way!!!!! Anyway here are some moments, me and Madame S had together. The follow up post on London is in progress...

My colleague and friend Rose is in town and we are sticking together from the first minute. We ended up in the SHZ store to talk through an Isabel Marant boot issue I have with them. Rosa wanted to drink a glass of wine or two but first had to go with me to finish some business.... I cannot resist being patient. And instead of showing my back to the store I went on buying a very nice and special piece of accessory. As I don't have a boyfriend who does accessories gifts to me, I have to do it on my own. For that reason I bought a very chic ring I fell in love with. A gift for a good life decision, which I worked out last week. Time to celebrate! The designer is called Felicitas Seidler and is definitely a woman to have a chic eye on. She is my goddess for this week. The picture is not the ring i bought, but I like this one too. Oh Oh dangerous!

Jimmy Choo mailed I Say Chic (I say: how cool is that!?) about the Jimmy Choo VIP experience. It's an important campaign, something we support and, with this post, hoping for yours as well. The project is set up to raise awareness and funds for AIDS victims. Jimmy Choo and Elton John AIDS Foundation launched a photo competition to support the launch of Project PEP, a charity collection that donates 25% of sales to the Simelela Rape Centre in South Africa. The money goes towards providing the HIV-preventative treatment PEP (which must be taken within 72 hours of exposure to HIV) and counselling to victims of rape in South Africa, which has the highest count of rape in the world.

Holla holla! My deepest apologies for another long time off the radar kind of act from my side. I found myself in this zero inspiration zone, but I've left that station now. That got me off the blogging track. A lot has happened during my absence: as you know I lost Rosa to Rika as my sidekick at the office. In exchange I got Nike Sportswear and United Nude as my new brands to keep me busy and out of trouble ;) Exciting stuff for Nike Sportswear coming up soon. United Nude, shoe brand of Rem D. Koolhaas, just opened up a flagship store in Amsterdam. The store looks awesome, especially the Wall of Light. Definitely worth the while to pop by when you're in Amsterdam. Most of the shoes are very out there, as the main inspiration comes from architectual shapes. Check out mine

What also kept me away from Isaychic was the fact that I went on holidays, visiting my dear sweet daddy and the rest of the family in Indonesia and crazy exciting Hongkong. Here are some picture perfect moments;

The Horrors have been in town tonight and I got the possibility to ask 3 chic questions. SMAK: How old are you guys TOM: Between 22-27 years, I am the youngest of all. It's 5:50 in the morning and I am so bored. "Let's have an after-hour" I asked her and she said maybe... and still I'm so bored. Everyone said yes let's do it, so I'm not drunk at all and I don't have any money left for cigarettes. Damn! So, what can I do when I cannot sleep? Maybe write a post about the last week...It was the MTV music week. See my impressions below. I went to see G-Shock, it was nice. They gave me that amazing watch and afterwards I saw N IKE and then I went to the EMA Awards and then I stayed happily ever after at home and I missed the nicely produced store opening of Sissi Rossi. Creative direction for the Sissi Rossi store came from Radical Future and they understand their work very well . If you have the chance to drop by at Torstrasse 96 in Berlin you can explore it. I'm still bored, after-hour anyone?

NEWS FLASH: The Swedish designer Ann Sofie Back is held hostage by cheap Anna Wintour look-a-likes, for several fashion crimes she committed throughout the past years. Some might wonder what this weird story is all about, so did I. To make the long story short, Ann Sofie Back presented in Stockholm her hostage store concept. It is a brilliant and cool guerilla action, created in collaboration with her advertisement agency We Are Group aka the hostage takers. The pop-up store carries the AW2009 collection Ann Sofie Back Must Die as well as pieces from earlier seasons. And if that wouldn't be enough excitement already, the "failure themed store" is also in use for a fashion exhibition by Beck and photographer Anders Edstrom. The images were originally produced for Dazed & Confused, but never got published. Puh! Ann Sofie Beck you are a star and so chic.
